Tetiaroa Island
Beautiful crown of coral islands closed on the "glare still" a crystal clear lagoon,
Tetiaroa was the favorite residence of the royal family of Tahiti, who gave endless feasts and banquets.
During the filming of Mutiny on the Bounty, Marlon Brando fell in love, bought the atoll,
which is now the subject of day trips, from Tahiti, by sea
A dozen of motu (small islet), which are in fact huge white sand beaches,
shaded by coconut tree, are distributed around the edge of the reef closed ring.
The wildest islands, frigates, blue-footed boobies and other seabirds nest in bushes,
shrubs myriad of fragrant white flowers.
